Atlantic Expedited: Built by Determination

One truck in 2012 became a premier cross-country fleet — built the slow, honest way. Here's how it happened, and who's behind it.

“A good name is more desirable than great riches; to be esteemed is better than silver or gold.”
Proverbs 22:1

The story of Atlantic Expedited began long before the company had its name, its fleet, or its place in the transportation industry.

It began behind the wheel of a refrigerated truck, somewhere along America’s endless highways.

Vitaliy had moved from Massachusetts to Georgia, hoping to begin a new chapter in his life. At the time, he had no wife, no children, and no permanent home holding him in one place. What he did have was a willingness to work and the determination to build a better future.

Not long after arriving in Georgia, Vitaliy reconnected with his longtime friend, Alex, who offered him a job driving refrigerated freight across the country. Vitaliy accepted and began working as a CDL driver.

The work was relentless. He spent countless hours on the road, driving through the night and waiting at receivers that operated on unpredictable schedules. Refrigerated freight demanded strict delivery times, regardless of weather, exhaustion, or road conditions. Days turned into nights, and weeks passed with almost no time at home.

Winter driving brought its own dangers. Vitaliy faced icy highways, snowstorms, poor visibility, mechanical problems, and deadlines that did not change simply because the roads became dangerous. At the same time, he witnessed the unfairness and instability of the freight market. Drivers worked hard, took enormous risks, and sacrificed their personal lives, while low rates and rising expenses often left them with very little to show for it.

Those difficult years shaped Vitaliy’s character. The road taught him discipline, patience, responsibility, and one lesson that would remain with him forever: never give up.

Vitaliy had never imagined himself becoming a businessman. He did not come from wealth, and he did not have investors waiting to support him. But life has a way of pushing people toward opportunities they cannot yet see.

Eventually, Vitaliy made a life-changing decision. He sold his personal car and used the money to purchase his first semi-truck and refrigerated trailer. It was a tremendous risk, but it also marked the beginning of a new venture—and the beginning of Atlantic Expedited.

There was no easy road ahead and no comfortable way back. Vitaliy now faced hundreds of thousands of dollars in loans, expensive monthly payments, high diesel prices, costly repairs, low freight rates, and an unpredictable market. Every breakdown threatened the business. Every slow week created uncertainty. Every load mattered.

Failure was not an option.

Instead of allowing those pressures to defeat him, Vitaliy used them as motivation. The difficulties that caused others to quit taught him to recognize opportunities where others saw only problems. He learned every part of the transportation business—from driving and equipment maintenance to negotiating freight rates, managing expenses, serving customers, and supporting drivers.

Atlantic Expedited was not built overnight. It was built one mile, one load, one sacrifice, and one difficult decision at a time.

What began with one man, one truck, and an unwavering determination to succeed grew into a transportation company serving customers across the country. The company’s foundation was not money or privilege. It was built on hard work, personal sacrifice, honesty, resilience, and the belief that every challenge can become an opportunity.

Vitaliy never forgot what it felt like to be the driver working through the night, waiting at a receiver, worrying about expenses, or spending weeks away from home. Those experiences became part of Atlantic Expedited’s identity. They created a company that understands the road, respects its drivers, values its customers, and knows that reliable transportation depends on people who refuse to give up.

The story of Atlantic Expedited is still being written.

Its future is shaped by the same determination that helped Vitaliy survive those first difficult years.

From selling his personal car to purchase his first truck, to building a company capable of creating opportunities for hundreds of drivers and owner-operators, Vitaliy’s journey is proof that success does not always begin with a perfect plan.

Sometimes, it begins with hardship.

Sometimes, it begins with a single truck.

And sometimes, the road that nearly breaks you becomes the road that leads you to your purpose.

True Asset Accountability

We don't flip paper or hide behind load boards. We own the trucks, we know the drivers, and we take full, honest ownership of your freight from dock to dock.

Real Human Partnerships

Logistics is a people business. Whether you're a Fortune 500 shipper or an owner-operator, you get direct lines, transparent rates, and a team that actually answers the phone.

Forward-Thinking Growth

We combine over fourteen years of traditional road experience with modern tracking, smart route optimization, and sustainable fleet scaling to keep your supply chain ahead.

— How we work

Four things we keep
coming back to.

Own what you do

We own our trucks, our shop, our mistakes. Asset-based isn’t marketing — it’s how we built the company.

Pay people fairly

The company runs because drivers, mechanics, and dispatchers show up. Weekly settlements, transparent statements, honest talk about money.

Pick up the phone

One number, real people. No call trees, no AI bots, no offshore call centers. If we say we’ll call back, we call back.

Build for the long haul

We measure success in how long drivers stay, not how fast we churn through them. Over fourteen years in, that’s the only metric that matters.

— Talk to a person

Over fourteen years in.
Still picking up.

Whether you drive or ship, you reach the same team — no call tree, no runaround.
